A measure for rating the overall sound absorption of a material when used in an enclosed architectural space where sound is reflected at many angles of incidence. A ceiling system with an NRC < 0.50 is low performance, an NRC > 0.70 is high performance.
A measure for rating the performance of a ceiling system as a barrier to airborne sound transmission through a common plenum between adjacent closed spaces. A ceiling system with a CAC < 25 is considered low performance, whereas one with CAC of 35 or higher is high performance.
A high light reflective ceiling – LR 0.83 or greater, per ASTM E1477-98 as referred to in ASTM E1264-98 – makes lighting systems, especially indirect lighting, more effective while further reducing energy costs and consumption. LR values apply to White panels only.
Ceiling panels with BIOBLOCK performance resist the growth of mold and mildew on the panel surface.
Ceiling panels with BIOBLOCK Plus performance resist the growth of odor and stain-producing bacteria as well as mold and mildew on the ceiling panel surface.
Ceiling panels maintain humidity and sag resistance.
Standard
Surface impact based on the Striking Ball Impact Test, modified ASTM D1037 procedure.
Excellent resistance to surface scratching, scuffing or chipping as per Hess Rake Test.
Offers superior wash resistance without compromising panel finish integrity, using a washability tester as per ATSM D4828.
Withstands up to 150 scrub cycles using a scrubbability tester as per ATSM 02486.
