Forty-Four New CASTWORKS Metaphors Panel Designs

Select options for GRG panels further expand the Armstrong wood-look possibilities

LANCASTER, Pa. — Armstrong World Industries has introduced 44 additional panel designs to its portfolio of CASTWORKS METAPHORS Glass-Fiber Reinforced Gypsum (GRG) ceiling panels. In addition, Armstrong has added two new wood-look finishes, expanding its portfolio of wood and wood-look options across a wide variety of materials.

Available as a quoted option, the versatile 24" x 24" modular GRG panels feature dimensional and coffered designs that can create many unique looks based on layout. Each panel is one solid piece, with high-end custom looks achievable through standard installation on a PRELUDE XL 15/16" suspension system.

New Wood-Look Finishes on Select Panels
The new CASTWORKS METAPHORS quoted ceiling panels are available in four standard colors—White, Silver Grey, Gun Metal Grey, and Black—that coordinate with Armstrong grid colors. Custom colors are also available. Select panel designs are offered in two new wood-look finishes, Walnut and White Oak. All the finishes on the new panel designs, except for Gun Metal Grey, are part of the Armstrong SUSTAIN portfolio and meet the most stringent industry sustainability compliance standards today.

“The wood-look panels will either have a smooth finish or a finish with an inherent wood grain texture, depending upon the design specified,” explained Keith Koger, Director, Specialty Solutions, at Armstrong. “Moreover, the new offering also includes panels to field-cut for MEP integration and perimeter solutions.”
